This fabulous pair of 18th century Spanish Colonial architectural relics are hand carved of wood and gilded with 24 carat gold.
These Estipite Pilasters originated in Peru and most likely adorned a church altar.
They are in exceptional condition.
The Estipite Pilaster is defined as a "broad Pilaster or column forming several elaborate carved sections; typical of late Baroque buildings in Latin America" Charlotte Ekland, PhD, Latin American Studies.
